The Department of Vehicles and Fundamentals of Machine Design is part of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Lodz University of Technology. Our long-standing research activities are highly valued by industry, as demonstrated by our cooperation with numerous institutions and companies.
The Department's research activities cover a broad range of topics related to the fundamentals of machine design. Our research staff focus on the design and testing of vehicle components, machinery, and mechanical systems, with particular emphasis on the durability and reliability of frictional contacts and tribological systems. In addition, our research includes structural optimization aimed at improving durability, reliability, and energy efficiency.
